Hi Vivek. It was very kind of you to post all these alternatives for a remote job. In my case, I lost my job in Brazil in April due to COVID 19 impact in my country's economy. Are some of the opportunities posted for Brazilians? Thank you in advance! Very nice and helpful post indeed! Best regards.

Hi Silvia,

Thank you for your comment.

I too lost my job in may due to the economic impact of COVID-19. So, I totally relate to you.

The good thing about remote jobs are -- until specifically mentioned, they are location independent. So, If the job description specifically mentions US-only or EU-Only, You are very much eligible as a Brazilian.

Also, as many users gave feedback that location-based jobs listings would provide more value, I have decided to curate the list based on the same from the next newsletter. I trust this would help you.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Best,

Hi Vivek, This is a very good site for remote opportunities. I am a Mainframe resource with 15+ Years of experience. Are there any opportunities for me? I am skilled on Cobol, DB2, CICS, REXX, and all mainframe utilities. TIA- Umamaheshwar Iyer

Hi Sir,

I am glad you liked it.

There are definitely opportunities for experienced professionals like you.

To make it easy to find jobs based on experience, I will be mentioning junior/mid/senior roles with the job listings. I think this would help.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Best,

Hello Vivek. What you are doing here is amazing and I believe it is so important for many who travel or live off-grid, and also for people like me. I am fidgety, don’t fit into normal day job category, and live pretty far out in the boonies. I stumbled into book editing by “accident” when I volunteered to be an early reader for a first book. When I asked if I could help edit the book, I was welcomed with open arms—and I’m in love with the work. I edited the first novel in the series by skipping lots of sleep and asking for an extension. It was done and much, much better, but we learned a lot together and I am currently editing the second book in the series. I am also editing a non-fiction book by two authors. Having now discovered my unforeseen gift, I am looking for more editing work. Is there anything on the horizon that will fit that bill for my kind of remotism?

Just so you know, my sister referred me to this site as she has just discovered it as an Overlander. She thinks what you’re doing is fantastic, as well! Thanks again for this work in progress.
